NCTA school-based occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants use meaningful activities to assist students to participate in academic skills, play and leisure activities, social participation with adults and peers, self-help skills, sensory processing abilities, and transition/pre-vocational skills.
Our therapists assess and address the physical, cognitive, psychosocial and sensory components of a student’s performance to design intervention strategies and activity/environmental accommodations to support the student’s success and reduce barriers to participation.
Our therapists use a variety of different service delivery models to meet students’ needs including direct individual or group instruction and consultation/collaboration with educational team members and families to support generalization of targeted skills.
